Obsession Racing Press Release 2015 #10

MENIFEE, CA – October started out with Eric turning twenty years old in Red Bluff California for J & K Motorsports Monster Truck Event. This is always a fun event to do as they have a parade down Main Street which in the heart of Red Bluff the evening before the first event. All three events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday were successful! Rick did great in racing and Eric was on top of his game in freestyle setting the bar high for all of the other drivers to follow.

From Red Bluff California Rick and Eric headed straight to the next event in Stockton California at the new 99 Speedway. This was a Friday and Saturday night show consisting of racing and freestyle. Rick was in the finals and Eric in the semifinals in racing. In freestyle Eric and Donald in Titan closed the show doing a dual freestyle together which brought the crowd to their feet in amazement. We want to give a huge thanks to Jimmy and Michelle Lehnertz and family for the great amount of help and hospitality while we were in their neck of the woods.

After being up North, the boys headed home for a close to show in Victorville California for Outlaw Monster trucks. This show was only for Saturday night with freestyle only. Eric and Rick put on a fantastic freestyle show for all of our Victorville fans.

Wrapping up October Rick’s Truck Obsession was on display and also did a car crush for the Knot Fest Music Festival at the Glen Helen Pavilion on October 24th and 25th. Rick and Eric got to meet some of the super stars of Heavy Metal and they were impressed with the monster trucks.

Obsession Racing had a busy month in October, but it is always nice to see all of our family, friends and fans along the way!

Obsession Racing Press Release 2015 #9

MENIFEE, CA – On my Birthday, Thursday September 17th Rick and Eric did a display in Tulare California to promote the show for MTX Events for Friday night. The display was held at the fairgrounds on the midway for all of the Tulare fans to be able to get autographs from the drivers and view the trucks up close.

On Friday night the evening started off with a pit party. The show had Chicago style racing and ending the show with freestyle. Rick and Eric both made it to the semifinals in racing. Rick put on an exciting show performing backwards in his Wrong Way Rick Truck. Eric was second to last in freestyle and put on an incredible show for the fans! He caught massive amounts of air and pulled off some really fast donuts that made your head spin just watching.

Rick and Eric headed home that evening to make my Birthday celebration on Sunday with family and friends. The following weeks in September we installed new motors in both trucks. We would like to thank Rex Horst for assembling them for our trucks to be on top of their game for future shows and AFR for sponsoring us with new cylinder heads! September was a good month and we are looking forward to a busy October!
