MENIFEE, CA – Our first show in August was for Allstar Monsters in Grass Valley
California at the Nevada County Fair. This was a two day event with racing and freestyle on
Friday and Saturday night. Rick won racing on Friday night and Eric won racing and freestyle on
Saturday night. It was a great event for Obsession Racing!!
On August 25th Obsession and Obsessed headed to Lancaster California to do a one night event
for Monster X at the Antelope County Fairgrounds. Rick took the win in racing and the promoter
had Rick and Eric freestyle together and Eric took the win! Another good night for Obsession
Racing!

In September Obsession Racing went to Oregon for the Sublimity Harvest Festival. This event is
full of displays leading up to the event. Every monster truck there is sponsored by a local
business’s to put on the event. Eric started out with a win for freestyle on Friday and placed
second on Saturday. On Sunday Eric was in the points lead for the overall win but was
unfortunately cut short when he blew both tires from landing from one of his big air jumps. Rick
did great in Obsession tying for the win on Sunday!

The following Friday, September 15th Rick and our nephew Bo headed to Tulare from Oregon.
Eric flew to Kansas to be with his girlfriend for their one year anniversary. Tulare was a one
night show with just the Obsession Truck performing. Rick made it to the semifinals and placed
3 rd in freestyle.

A lot of our sponsors will be attending the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Unfortunately we are not
able to attend this year but we want to wish them all the best at the show.

 

MENIFEE, CA – Kicking off in July started on the 1^st through the 4^th at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego for WGAS Motorsports.  These shows are freestyle only with 2 performances a day.  Both Obsession and Obsessed ran all 8 shows.  Eric in his Obsessed truck took the freestyle win on the 4^th of July!!

Having only a day in between events Rick and Eric headed to Tijuana Mexico for a Saturday night only show with racing and Freestyle.  Rick did awesome in the finals in racing and Eric blew a motor in his freestyle completion but still put on a great run.  With Eric needing a new motor Rick and Eric came home to switch it out for their next show the following weekend in Monterey Mexico.  They had to do this quickly as they had a 1,700 mile drive to make to Monterey.  They made it in time and put on an awesome show! Eric made up for it taking home the racing and wheelie competition win!

Wrapping up July Obsession Racing had a 5 day event totaling 7 shows for Monster X at the Orange County Fair in California.  These shows were freestyle only.  This was a great show for the Obsession Racing Team! Rick had one freestyle win and a wheelie win.  Eric had a few more with 6 wheelie wins and 5 Freestyle wins.  It was a fun show and we want to thank Bo and his girlfriend Kim for all of their help!

 

MENIFEE, CA – On June 9^th and 10^th Obsession and Obsessed had a show booked in Missoula Montana for WHR Motorsports.  These shows had racing and freestyle each day.  We had the privilege of having Mark Gallagher help us haul the trucks to Montana.  He also helped crew and gave Rick and Eric a place to stay during their travels.  Friday night Eric shined in freestyle taking the win and Rick made it to the finals in racing! Saturday night was even better as Rick took the win in racing and Eric won in freestyle! This was a great weekend for Obsession Racing!

 

The Obsession truck did a video for the rapper Action Jackson.  The shoot was done at Studio 60 in Los Angeles.  They had them fire up the truck for the video and had the singer sitting in the truck singing and acting like he was driving.  It is always fun doing a video shoot and meeting new people.  It was another fun day in L.A.!

 

Eric flew to Wisconsin to help crew for TK Motorsports and spend some time with his girlfriend.  He was given the opportunity to drive for 2Xtreme Racing in Iron Outlaw as they were down a driver.  He made it to the finals and put on a good show for 2Xtreme racing. 

 

We also received in the month of June our new frame for the Obsessed truck manufactured by Flame Motorsports.  Eric is excited for his new frame!  Dad seems to get stuck with the hand me downs but that’s what parents do!  Only the best for our Son!!
