MENIFEE, CA – In July we started off at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego for WGAS Motorsports. This is a four day event with two shows per day. This is also the début for the Wrong Way Rick body. Eric and Rick did a fantastic job in performing for the crowd! The fans really seem to like Wrong Way Rick! This event was a great opportunity for Eric having been able to test out different ways of going about the same obstacles. The extra seat time for Rick was beneficial because having the new body gave Rick a feel for how this new set up and how it worked. In the Wrong Way Rick body your view is a lot different since your windshield is your tailgate.
For the Fourth of July we were booked for the Kaboom Show also with WGAS Motorsports. This show we had only Eric run in Obsessed. He did a hair raising jump that was spectacular and we are so grateful for his confidence and skills in driving his truck which always put minds at ease. This show is promoted by the Pomona Fairgrounds. The show also had freestyle motor cross, monster truck racing and freestyle and to top off the night they had an awesome firework show and music to celebrate our independence.
Ending July we headed to Paso Robles for the California Mid State Fair. This show was a timed obstacle course for racing and ended the show with freestyle. What made this show interesting was that Rick was asked to run David Smith’s King Krunch body on Obsessed and Eric was piloting Wrong Way Rick. Rick and Eric both really enjoyed racing on an obstacle course! It was something that neither one of them has done before and they would be happy to do it again. They are always up for a drivers challenge! Everyone was pleased with their performance and the crowd got a kick out of Eric driving Wrong Way Rick!
