MENIFEE, CA – After four weeks on the road it was good to be back at home in time to celebrate Mothers Day. Our last three weekends have been in nine events and in three different cities and two different states. On April 18th, 19th and 20th we started off in Fresno California for three big Monster Jam events. Friday night started out with Obsession burying the back end of the frame into the cars in the sky wheelie competition. In racing he made it all the way through to the Semi Finals. Saturday night was not so good for us because during intermission we blew an input shaft, but we were able to get it up and roaring for a fast filled freestyle. Sunday followed in the footsteps of Friday pleasing the crowd.

The following weekend on April 25th, 26th and 27th was another show for the Monster Jam event series. Friday night we were put up against Grave Digger in the Semi Finals. Not to be out done, Rick made sure that he came out victoriously but victory comes with a price. Over the finish line jump we took an extremely hard hit to the left front tire and blew the front steering line apart and shoved the tire up into the fender and cab causing body damage. Unfortunately we did not get the line fixed in time to race in the finals. We did get it together for freestyle and brought the crowd to their feet. Saturday night Rick would prove to the Santa Rosa Fans that Friday night was no fluke as he took out Grave Digger once again in the Semi Finals and went on to win the Turtle Truck in the Finals. On Sunday Rick was feeling under the weather, but he made all his passes and put on crowd pleasing freestyle.

From Santa Rosa California, Rick headed up to Roseburg Oregon for the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of May to another Monster Jam Event. This weekend proved to be some of the hardest straight line racing he has ever encountered. When he got there the new track manager had moved a bunch of dirt around on the infield. By doing this it caused the drivers to have to race on asphalt and dirt putting the left lane five feet away from a five foot dirt embankment. All three shows Obsession made it to the Semi Finals. We wanted to send big thanks out to Mike from Eugene Line-X for making the drive down to Roseburg and helping Rick crew for the weekend.

We will be heading back out on the road again for the next four weeks starting this weekend. Our first event back out will be in Salinas California for the Monster Jam Series.
